What is bulk loading of Xero ledgers
Ensure you understand each process and save the time
Before you bulk load
It is best practice to choose the right chart of accounts BEFORE you do this.
If you don't, it could create an extra process which you should try and remove.
What is loading
Xero can create what are referred to as "shells".
They do so my getting you to complete a CSV / XLSX list of entity details.
Then they "auto create" them using a back-end operational tool.
The value in bulk loading is that it saves you adding them "one by one".
For example, it saves 2-3 minutes per set up, so if you have 200:
200 x 3 minutes = 10 hours saved.
Contact your Xero account manager to access this.
After the bulk loading
You can then enter balances and assets.
