How to set up fixed assets in Xero
Before you import the data, you need to tick a few boxes
Login to Xero and go to fixed assets.
Choose your start date.
Set up "asset types", we recommend you base them on your chart of accounts OR the categories in your fixed assets register.
If you have "Office equipment" in your chart of accounts, then create an asset type called "Office Equipment".
Done.
Now you are ready to import the fixed asset register.
